Types of sinks for a bathroom: their characteristics and functions

A sink should be obligatory placed in bathroom for washing hands, brushing teeth, shaving and performing others everyday procedures. Selecting such element take into account several important criteria: design, material, functionality and placing because modern market proposes wide assortment of models.

There can be also distinguished the following types of sinks:

1.      self-riming:

Such model is one of the most demanded. It can be easily installed and attached to any counter. This sink model is also called drop-in one.

2.      vessel;

This bathroom sink has bowl shape and should be attached to some surface. Most often those models are installed on various pieces of furniture.

3.      wall-mounted;

These sinks are attached to the wall and look rather elegant and compact in the interior. Quite often a wash machine is placed under such sink.

4.      pedestal;

Excellent decision for large bathroom with enough space. It is installed separately and looks attractive. The sink has the shape of tulip – a bowl is based on a leg.

5.      build-in;

This type of sink is build into a vanity or other bathroom furniture. This decision is rather convenient and functional.
