Materials that are used for producing bathroom vanities: advantages and disadvantages
A vanity is regarded as one of the most important bathroom furniture pieces that should be both functional and decorate the interior. Nowadays those units are made of various materials in traditional or contemporary style. So you are able to select the best variant that meets your taste and budget.
Among the materials that are used for producing vanities the following ones may be distinguished:
- wood (is suitable for traditional style lovers, looks quite elegant);
- glass (looks contemporary but needs often cleaning);
- metal (elegant and practical variant but rather expensive);
- chip board (cheap and suitable for rental property);
- MDF (happy medium – non-expensive and rather viable option).
- moisture resistance (glass, metal and artificial stone are moisture resistant themselves; wood, chip board or MDF should be painted or covered by special film);
- temperature differential resistance (changes of temperature shouldn’t affect a vanity’s quality).
